Aleczander Whitters is the data controller for Letter Play.
What we collect and why
- Parent account (email, login, Google profile name if you use Google): to create your account and sign you in. Basis: contract.
- Child setup (first name, age, languages): to greet your child and pick languages. Basis: contract.
- Play activity (play time, modes, letters pressed): to show your parent dashboard and improve the game. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser info, error logs): for security and fixing problems. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Talking to Lulu (optional, microphone): voice is sent to our voice provider only while a conversation is on. Basis: consent.
Who we share it with
Hosting and database providers, our voice provider (ElevenLabs), Paddle as Merchant of Record for selling subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing, professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires. We don't sell personal data or show ads to children.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data, except what we must keep by law.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it, by contacting us. We use appropriate security measures such as encryption and access controls.
Cookies
We only use essential storage to keep you signed in and remember game settings. No advertising cookies.
